About Chaco Researcher Directory

Chaco Researcher Directory is a research discovery tool for the Gran Chaco region, one of South America's largest and most biodiverse ecosystems spanning parts of Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil.

The goal of Chaco Researcher Directory is to help researchers discover who works on what in the Gran Chaco. Its main ambition is to help researchers cross community and language boundaries to discover researchers, and research, they might not otherwise have easily come across.

The Chaco Researcher Directory covers research broadly related to social and environmental systems in the Gran Chaco: ecology, geography, sociology, anthropology, history, public health, geomorphology, and related fields. It focuses on researchers who have conducted research on the Chaco since the year 2000.

The researcher profiles in this directory were built with the assistance of artificial intelligence (large language models) based on publication records and publicly available information. While we strive for accuracy, the content may contain errors — including incorrect affiliations, outdated information, or inaccurate descriptions.
